What's required to operate from Rwanda

Rwanda combines tourism licensing and business registration under one regulator: the Rwanda Development Board (RDB). Tax registration is handled separately by the Rwanda Revenue Authority (RRA).

1. RDB Tourism Operating License

Issued by: Rwanda Development Board (RDB)

Your active Tourism Operating License from the RDB. Checked annually.

2. RDB Certificate of Domestic Company Registration

Issued by: Rwanda Development Board (RDB)

Confirms your company is legally registered as a domestic Rwandan business. One-time document unless company details change.

3. RRA Notice of Registration

Issued by: Rwanda Revenue Authority (RRA)

Proves your business is registered with the tax authority. Required for our compliance review.

4. Full Registration Information of Domestic Company

Issued by: Rwanda Development Board (RDB)

The complete RDB Registration Information document lists every shareholder of your company. Used exclusively for our KYC review.

Renewals

The RDB Tourism Operating License renews annually. Explola sends reminders at 30, 7, and 0 days before expiry, plus a 14-day grace period after to upload your renewal.
