AI Action Credits: What Counts & How to Track Usage

Understand what counts as an AI action, how credits work, and how to purchase more.

What Are AI Actions?

AI actions are the currency for using Explola's AI-powered features. Each time you use an AI feature, it costs one or more AI action credits from your monthly allowance.

What Counts as an AI Action

The following features each use one AI action credit:

  • AI Tour Description Generation — Generating or rewriting a tour description using AI
  • AI Itinerary Generation — Creating a day-by-day itinerary with AI
  • AI Smart Response — Drafting a reply to a traveler inquiry
  • AI Quote Generation — Creating a personalized quote using AI
  • AI Review Response — Drafting a response to a customer review
  • AI Lead Scoring — Scoring an inquiry's quality with AI

Monthly Allowance by Plan

  • Explorer: 0 AI actions (AI features not available)
  • Essential: 50 AI actions per month
  • Pro: 200 AI actions per month
  • Premium: 500 AI actions per month
  • Enterprise: Unlimited

Tracking Your Usage

Check your remaining AI actions on the Billing page of your operator dashboard. The counter shows how many actions you have used this billing cycle and how many remain.

What Happens When You Reach Your Limit

When you use up your monthly AI actions, AI features become temporarily unavailable. You have two options:

  1. Wait — Your AI action counter resets automatically at the start of your next billing cycle.
  2. Reset the counter — Pay a one-time fee to reset your AI action counter and get the full monthly allowance again. The reset is only offered once you have actually reached your monthly limit — there is no reset available while you still have actions remaining.

Reset Pricing by Plan

The reset price reflects each tier’s monthly allowance:

  • Essential: $9 to reset (gives you another 50 actions)
  • Pro: $19 to reset (gives you another 200 actions)
  • Premium: $29 to reset (gives you another 500 actions)
  • Enterprise: Not applicable — Enterprise has unlimited AI actions and never reaches a cap

You can reset more than once in the same billing cycle if you need to. Each reset is independent and only triggered when you have actually used your full allowance.

How to Pay for a Reset

When you reach your monthly cap, the Billing page shows a red alert with two payment options:

  • Use Credits — The reset fee is deducted from your prepaid credit balance (see the Credits System article for how to top up).
  • Pay with Card — A one-time Stripe checkout charges your payment method directly.

Tips for Efficient AI Usage

  • Review and edit AI-generated content rather than regenerating from scratch.
  • Use AI generation for your most important or complex content first.
  • Save AI-generated tour descriptions as templates to reuse elements.
