How the inquiry unlock system works when you exceed your monthly inquiry limit.

What Are Locked Inquiries?
When you have used all the inquiries included in your monthly plan, any new inquiries you receive are locked. You can see that a new inquiry exists and view basic details, but the full traveler information and message are hidden until you unlock it.
Why Lock Inquiries?
Locking ensures you never miss a potential customer. Instead of cutting off inquiries entirely, Explola lets them come through so you can decide which ones are worth unlocking based on the lead score and basic details visible on the locked inquiry card.
How to Unlock an Inquiry
- Go to your Inquiries page and find the locked inquiry
- Review the lead score badge (Hot, Warm, or Cold) and visible summary
- Click "Unlock"
- The overage fee is calculated and shown to you
- The fee is deducted from your credit balance
- The full inquiry details are revealed
What If I Do Not Have Enough Credit?
If your credit balance is too low to cover the overage fee, you will be prompted to top up your balance. You can add credit from the Billing page and then return to unlock the inquiry.
Choosing Which Inquiries to Unlock
Use the lead score to prioritize which inquiries to unlock:
- Hot leads — High-quality inquiries with specific details and budget. Unlock these first.
- Warm leads — Interested travelers who may convert with good follow-up.
- Cold leads — Early-stage researchers. Consider whether the potential value justifies the cost.
Upgrading to Avoid Locks
If you regularly exceed your inquiry limit, consider upgrading to a higher plan. When you upgrade, any pending overage charges are automatically waived if your new plan covers the usage.
