What's required to operate from Namibia
Namibia's tourism regulator is the Namibia Tourism Board (NTB). Business registration is handled by the Business and Intellectual Property Authority (BIPA) and tax registration by the Namibia Revenue Agency (NamRA).
1. NTB Tour and Safari Operator License
Issued by: Namibia Tourism Board (NTB)
Your active Tour and Safari Operator License from the NTB. This is the primary credential — checked annually.
2. BIPA Certificate to Commence Business
Issued by: Business and Intellectual Property Authority (BIPA)
Proves your company is legally registered in Namibia. One-time document unless company details change.
3. NamRA Taxpayer Registration Certificate
Issued by: Namibia Revenue Agency (NamRA)
Your registered taxpayer certificate. Required for our compliance review even though Namibia doesn't issue annual tax-clearance documents the way some other countries do.
4. Association Clause (Companies Act 2004)
Issued by: Business and Intellectual Property Authority (BIPA)
The Association Clause page from your Companies Act 2004 filing lists all company shareholders. Used for our KYC review only.
Renewals
The NTB Tour and Safari Operator License expires annually. Explola sends reminders at 30, 7, and 0 days before expiry, with a 14-day grace window afterwards to upload your renewal before tours from Namibia are automatically unpublished.
