How Review Moderation Works

All reviews submitted on Explola go through a moderation process to ensure quality and authenticity. This protects both operators and travelers.

The Moderation Workflow

  1. Submitted — A traveler writes and submits their review
  2. In Review — The Explola team checks the review for compliance with our guidelines
  3. Approved — The review passes moderation and is published publicly
  4. Rejected — The review does not meet our guidelines and is not published

What Moderators Check

  • The review is based on a genuine experience
  • No offensive, discriminatory, or inappropriate language
  • No spam, promotional content, or irrelevant information
  • No personally identifiable information (phone numbers, addresses)

Timelines

Most reviews are moderated within 1-3 business days. During busy periods, this may take slightly longer. You will see the review appear on your profile once it is approved.

Disputing a Review

If you believe a review is unfair or violates our guidelines, you can flag it for additional review by contacting support. Provide specific reasons and any supporting evidence.

Impact on Your Rating

Only approved reviews count toward your overall rating. Your rating is calculated as a weighted average of all approved reviews.
