Why Inclusions & Exclusions Matter

Clear inclusions and exclusions prevent misunderstandings, build traveler trust, and reduce disputes. Travelers want to know exactly what they are paying for before they commit.

Setting Inclusions

In the tour editor, add each item that is included in the tour price. Common inclusions for African safaris:

  • Park and conservation fees
  • Accommodation (specify standard: budget, mid-range, luxury)
  • All meals (specify which: breakfast, lunch, dinner)
  • Transportation in safari vehicle
  • Professional English-speaking guide
  • Airport transfers
  • Drinking water during game drives
  • All game drives and activities listed in the itinerary

Setting Exclusions

List everything not covered by the tour price. Common exclusions:

  • International and domestic flights
  • Travel and medical insurance
  • Visa fees
  • Tips and gratuities for guides and staff
  • Personal expenses (laundry, souvenirs, phone calls)
  • Alcoholic beverages
  • Optional activities not in the itinerary

Cancellation Policy

Set your cancellation policy in the Booking Terms section. A clear policy protects both you and the traveler. Include:

  • Notice period required for a full refund
  • Percentage refunded at different timeframes (e.g., 50% refund 30-60 days before departure)
  • Non-refundable deposit amount, if any
  • Force majeure provisions (natural disasters, travel bans)

Booking Terms

Use the booking terms field to specify:

  • Deposit amount and payment schedule
  • Balance due date (e.g., 60 days before departure)
  • Accepted payment methods
  • Minimum/maximum group sizes for guaranteed departures
  • Child policy and age restrictions

Special Requirements

Use the special requirements field to note any physical requirements, dietary accommodations, or other conditions travelers should be aware of before booking.
